My decision to pull back on my needlework buying hasn't been exactly successful. I'll tell you, the only way I'll be successful at this is if I stop going on line. Period. No email, no blogs, no ebay. No online activity at all. Because otherwise, it's like saying that I'm not going to eat any chocolate, but all the while I'm swimming in a pool of it. So I'm doomed.
Anyway, I was awfully bad today. There I was, lurking around ebay and I found an ebay seller with several of the Prairie Schooler Santa cards that I needed to round out my collection. And they were actually reasonable. Like under $3.00 each and shipping was just basic postage for one combined package. Really. Really.
After I receive my package, I'll tell you the seller's name. In case any of you all who read here from time to time need a PS fix....
A bargain on things you'd already decided you'd need is a very good thing.
ReplyDeleteAre you still missing PS Santas? I may have one or two and would gladly send them to you...
ReplyDeleteEbay can be a BAD place! I bought most of my library from there! The poor mailman was delivering up to 3 packages a day for about a month. But, compared to hardcover prices in the store - a bargain!
ReplyDeletegood for you for finding the PS that you need!

I had a good chuckle, thanks. I just think it is much easier to NOT say I am going to be good, why put that kind of pressure on myself?
ReplyDeleteSounds like you got a good bargin on those PS Santas.

I'd say that this incident meets the requirements of an exception! :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear who the seller was. I love PS and have been very bad on ebay too. Which Santa's did you get??
ReplyDeleteGood stash prices trump resolutions! I hope you have great fun with your Santa's!! :)
ReplyDeleteAhh, YGG, Lee! I've had many moments of feeling guilty too but reading "confessions" like these always make me feel much better! :-) It's great that you found the PS charts. When one finds the right thing at a great price you gotta get it!
ReplyDeleteThere are certain times that you should ignore the no new stuff vow. Filling in a collection? Absolutely. Especially if it is cheap.
ReplyDelete...my LNS has a sale around Thanksgiving - how in the world could I be good? Some will be for Secret Santa exchange, but some WILL also be for me, too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you got a good deal and only splurged to complete a set of Santas you had already begun so congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI spent so much money this past month on XS items that I actually made a note to put it in my will as to how much this stuff is all worth so my son will know, LOL!
Well, you can salvage your conscience because they were inexpensive...really now, don't you feel better?! LOL
