Big happenings

YAY!  My kitchen remodeling will begin this Tuesday!

UGH.  I have to empty my kitchen and prepare for this.  I've already started by moving my decorative things and some of the kitchen furniture.  Today I'll be emptying the cabinets, starting with the one under the sink.  Ho Boy....it's scary under there.

So if you don't hear from me tomorrow, please send an ambulance.

And a HazMat crew.

  2. If your sink cabinet looks like mine did - oh boy! I got a surge of energy and washed out the sink and garbage cabinets earlier - uuuggghhh.

Congrats on the remodel - you are showing us before and after pics - yes?? Getting any specialty cabinets?

  3. Oh boy! We did a kitchen remodel 8years ago and I still remember what a painful process it was!! It involved relocating the laundry room, bumping back a wall, putting in an island and changing the whole traffic pattern in the kitchen. I had the microwave hooked up on the family room and the coffee pot in the dining room. The absolute worst day was when I had to wash dished in the upstairs sink because the laundry tub wasn't hooked up yet. Surprisingly, we learned to make do with sandwiches and soup or simple meals and rarely ate out. As I said, painful to go through, but absolutely worth it in the end. I think to myself every day how much I love my kitchen now. Good luck!!

  8. Keep your eye on the prize. We did one that ran from before Thanksgiving until after Christmas. Nothing says.... 'no baking and no company' like a ripped up kitchen.
